It’s Fall and time to clean out those flower beds and plant new flowers. The weather here in Texas is changing, getting cooler and the days are getting shorter.
Last week I called my mom to ask her opinion about what flowers I should buy this fall. I have blogged before about my mom’s amazing yard and green thumb, of course she had the perfect suggestion for my planters this season.
In my wheelbarrow and fertilizer planter I bought Trailing Pansy hanging baskets. I prepared the soil, took the plants out of the baskets, sprinkled a little Miracle Gro Shake ‘n Feed before planting each basket. In my other planters I planted Viola’s matching the colors from my hanging baskets. I love the look of these flowers, they are hardy, take full sun and add great color!
Don’t forget you need to continue to fertilize your beds every 7 to 14 days. My mom introduced me to a new fertilizer by Miracle Gro called Miracle Gro LiquaFeed. You hook it up to your hose and it feeds while you water. It’s brilliant and so easy – it will make your fall great!
What flowers are you planting this fall? Do you have any tips that you can share with us?
