Nobody knows of the work it makes
To keep the home together,
Nobody knows of the steps it takes,
Nobody knows – but mother.

- talk on a phone
- play the piano
2. Marry your best friend
3. Always fix your hair in the morning you never know who will show up at your front door

8. Faith – Always seek the Lord, followed by my mom’s favorite quote, “God will make a way when there seems to be no way.”

10. Laugh and have Fun
11. “Get over it” - basically be strong!

13. How to be a great mother!

I love those Michelle!! Your Mom is a wonderful lady, & she has given me great advice many times!!
My mom & Memaw are wonderful examples in my life!! One thing they’ve always taught me, is that you never go to bed mad! To this day, I can’t go to bed mad!
Also, Go to church on Sunday, so you can start your week on the right path!
Always, respect your elders, & be kindhearted to everyone! There are so many more great ones, but I truly would be here all day!!
1. Be still and know that He is God
2. How to figure out the percentage off at a sale (I use this EVERY DAY!!!!!!)
3. What you hear is NOT always what has been said
4. Learning to laugh at yourself is good medicine
5. Letting others laugh at you is good medicine, too!!!
6. How to read a recipe
(There are more, but these are the one’s that came first)
She has taught me the fundamentals as well as important life lessons that have given me a stable & spiritual foundation. I can remember seeing her reading her bible and praying. To this day, she still calls on the Lord to direct her family’s path. She is quiet and I should probably have taken better lessons on how to be so. She loves me regardless and that is what makes life all the more sweeter with her!
Love you Momma!
Great recall on what your mom has taught you.
Here are some of the things that I have learned from my mother:
1. Call it like you see it.
2. Iron your husband’s clothes and make him look nice.
3. Don’t compliment someone’s cooking if it doesn’t taste good.
4. Smell the milk before you drink it.
5. Always send it RSVP response cards.
6. She taught me how to cook.
7. There is a RIGHT way to load the dishwasher.
8. Not to “swell” up when you are mad.
9. That I am not always right.
10. That she is a better cook that anyone I know!
Something that your mom taught me…
Storms are something to be very, very afraid of!
It is true Jennifer! Texas storms are unpredictable so you have to watch them. Of course now they can tell you what time of the day the storm will come your way. What are you girls teaching your kids? Love you both!!
I stumbled accross your blog and love this! Mom’s are such a source of wisdom. I learned from my mom that “You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar!”
